Do you need a translator to explain the ins-and-outs of cloud computing services? Do you wonder which cloud contract terms matter, and where the hidden traps might be?

In this webinar, Professor Kunz will clarify the ways in which the cloud can be used: As Software as a Service (SaaS); to provide a computing infrastructure; as a platform or to support a particular business function; or in various hosting arrangements.

The program will highlight the concerns that are crucial to a cloud computing contract – pricing, security/encryption, data ownership, service levels, interoperability, data breaches, disaster recovery, assignability and termination/transition.

Your presenter will be Christina Kunz, J.D. Professor of Law at the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. Professor Kunz has been on the faculty at the College since 1980, and has helped to develop electronic commercial law since 1990. She teaches courses in a variety of subject areas including Contracts, UCC Sales, Advanced Sales, International Sales of Goods, Negotiating and Drafting Business Agreements (which focuses on technology contracts) and Electronic Commercial Law.

Professor Kunz is a member of the American Law Institute, and has served on its advisory committee to the Principles of the Law of Software Contracts. She has served in several leadership positions on the American Bar Association’s Cyberspace Law Committee, and currently is co-chair of the newly-established Electronic Commercial Law Committee within the Minnesota State Bar Association. Among the publications that she has written/co-written are two textbooks, The Process of Legal Research and Synthesis: Legal Reading, Reasoning and Writing.

Outside the academy, Professor Kunz has taught courses and seminars for supply chain and purchasing professionals for ISM and its affiliates including NAPM—Twin Cities and the Purchasing Management Association of Boston, among others. She also has provided in-house training for major corporations around the country.
